Interviewing Cookie Monster

Cookie Monster is 28 months
I stole this idea from totschool. I loved the idea, and wanted to start doing it either on New Years or Cookie's birthday, but today presented a great opportunity and I was struck with the inspiration to do it!! The blue is Cookie Monsters answers, and it is exactly as he said it.
How old are you? I'm 2!
When's your birthday? It's a birthday?
Who's your mom? That's mom! (points at me) That's momma's phone! (points to my phone)
Who's your dad? Daddy's as work!
What's daddy do? Daddy's at work!
What's your favorite color? Color red
What's your favorite food? *sneezes* oh no, a mess! (and then he wouldn't answer that question)
What's your favorite song? Baby signing time
What do you want to do when you grow up? Eat peanut butter balls and play.
What do momma and daddy do when you go to bed? Go for a nap, and play outside.
What's your favorite book? Well.....lets watch Mickey Mouse (I could tell at this point we were starting to lose interest...and he was starting to get a one track mind)
What's your favorite t.v. show? Uhm...it goes away. Watch Mickey Mouse??
What's you favorite animal? Uhm....well...okay, this is so good! (he was referring to his snack I believe, he was eating a peach/strawberry popsicle)
I again asked what his favorite animal was: Cake!! A duck!!
I probably didn't choose the best time to do this, since he was eating a popsicle and very excited about it. It was right after nap and he was in a great mood, I think that was a main reason for my timing. I'm excited to continue to do this yearly and watch his answers progress.

4th of July Sensory Bin

About a week ago I made a 4th of July Sensory Bin. It's Cookie Monsters first sensory bin, and I thought it would be a fun one to start with.
Everything out of this bin was bought in the Target $1 section, except for the jeweled stones, they were bought at Michaels.
I picked up flags, pencils, window clings (which Cookie Monster adores), spiky balls, stickers, tatoos, bead necklaces, and a cute ice cream bowl.
To say he loved it doesn't even cover it, not even by half!
He put the beaded necklaces all around his neck, and immediately started sorting things.
He was putting his red jeweled stars into the ice cream bowl saying "red star" as he put them in. I'm so proud of this little boy, he has really picked up on his colors and shapes quickly.
He then proceeded to stick all of the window clings onto my arm. He loves to stick them onto my legs, my arms, my neck, and onto the t.v. stand. It's pretty funny watching him place them all over the house.
I bought a few extra things to add into it, an star ice cube silicone tray, another bucket to sort into, and some big spoons. Needless to say his first sensory bin was a complete success.
